作者简介：
乔治·桑德斯 （George Saunders），1958年出生于美国德克萨斯州，成长、生活在芝加哥南部。桑德斯是美国著名小说家，被称为“作家中的作家”。他曾经尝试过不同职业，与此同时进行写作并陆续发表作品。1994年获得“国家杂志小说奖”。1996年，出版了第一部短篇小说集《衰退时期的内战疆土》，并入围“海明威奖”。1997年，获得锡拉库兹大学写作课程教席，从此开始专职写作。2006年，获得“麦克阿瑟天才奖”和“古根海姆奖”。2013年，《十二月十日》入围美国国家图书奖短名单，并于2014年获得英国“对开文学奖”。2017年，凭借《林肯在中阴界》获得“布克奖”。

Cynthiastar2024-11-29前面几篇解读还比较贴文本，后面有点放飞，总体分析不算深入但也算可读。题外话，桑德斯说喜欢那个在写小说时”更好的自己“，想想我也挺喜欢那个写论文时更严谨细致一丝不苟的自己。
