The instruments consist of two pipa, one a five-stringed instrument with a straight neck and the other a four-stringed instrument with a crooked neck, both played with plectrums; a set of panpipes; two kinds of fl utes, vertical and transverse (the latter possibly a fl ageolet); cymbals; and an angular harp. The eighth figurine is shown clapping her hands in time to the music.
